Filming their new SciFi thriller -- Alphaville meets La Jetee

Filming their new SciFi thriller — Alphaville meets La Jetee

I’m playing around with the new Version Four of Midjourney.  This came up when I was trying to create something else. Not sure what’s happening here but this is what Midjourney thinks a Film Camera looks like, apparently.

Today I saw my shadow on the Moon

created with new version 4 of Midjourney

I actually did see my shadow on the moon this morning.  CAT had to go into the office today so she had to get up at the ungodly hour of five AM to get there by 8:30.  I asked her to wake me up too because I heard their would be a Lunar Eclipse.  We both walked over to our bay window several times over the next hour watching the shadow of the Earth cross the Moon and eventually envelop it.  That was us – all of us – blocking the sun from the moon.

I created this image with the new updated version four of Midjourney AI which just came out a few days ago.  Some of the other image variations incorporated actual strong “shadows on the moon” but this one was the most dramatic image, so I went with this.

Here’s another variation that came out pretty good as well.

Man and the Moon

This was my first attempt with version 4 of Midjourney.  I didn’t really play with it much.  It’s supposed to be more “coherent” which will probably translate to “more realistic” which may or may not be better.  It all really depends on what you like and what you’re trying to do.  Version 3 is crazy and funky which I like, so we’ll see…

I wanted a Cyborg painting, and it gave me a painting of a Cyborg

The Art Machine doesn't always give you what you want.

The Art Machine doesn’t always give you what you want.  I’m trying to get away from simple portraits – of characters just sitting there – but Midjourney isn’t good with verbs or action.  It likes faces (with the tops of their heads cut off) or vast landscapes with tiny characters that have their backs turned.  Still it’s a nice painting of a Cyborg…
